Ruth Wilkinson

Ruth was first seen in Ramsay Street as the physiotherapist hired to look after Helen Daniels. She clashed with Philip Martin on several occasions over her treatment of Helen.

After splitting from her violent first husband, Bill, Ruth moves into No.32 Ramsay Street with her two children - Anne and Lance. This caused even more arguments with Philip, since he was now her landlord as well. However, in true Neighbours style, they ended up falling in love.

Ruth set up her private physiotherapy practice in a spare room at Karl's surgery, and later moved her consulting room into the Martin family house.

In 1998, Ruth's world was turned upside down when she discovered a lump in her breast. While awaiting the results of the cancer tests, Philip and Ruth decided to get married. They were married in a very moving ceremony, with a shadow hanging over the event that the happiness may only be short-lived. Fortunately the results came back clear, and the whole family could breath a sigh of relief.
