Anne Wilkinson

Of the Wilkinson family members, Anne had the most difficulty settling into life in Ramsay Street. Initially she wanted to stay with her father and ran away from home, leaving her mother Ruth anxious about her safety.

Despite her initial rebelliousness, Anne was actually well behaved and quite a conscientious student at school. In her final year at school she was expected to become school captain, but ended up sharing the job with Amy Greenwood. She became friends with pensioner Lily Madigan and spent some time helping her fight the property developers who wanted to bulldoze her home. She also spent a short time working as a teen fashion model.

Anne's boyfriend has been Billy Kennedy for a long time, although there have been many break-ups and reconciliations between them. The reasons for them breaking up have included Billy's two-timing with Caitlin, and Anne's crush on Ben Atkins - who she later found was her half-brother. After one of their most recent arguments, Anne drove away in Lance's ute without a licence. This event later resulted in Joel being trapped under the car in rising flood water.

• Brooke won the 'Best New Talent' award for her role as Anne Wilkinson at the 1998 Logie Awards Ceremony. She was also nominated for 'Most Popular Female on TV' (Silver Logie) at the 1999 awards.
